Governor Jay Inslee holds a press conference at the Northwest Seaport Alliance in Seattle to announce the launch of the Blue Wind Supply Chain Initiative, a public/private effort to advance Washington state as a preferred destination for the manufacture of advanced component for offshore turbines.
Joining the governor are Maritime Blue Chief Executive Officer Joshua Berger, Port of Seattle Commissioner Ryan Calkins, Port of Tacoma Commissioner Deanna Keller, Port of Everett Commissioner Glen Bachman, Herald Ugles, President, International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 19, and Sloane Perras, Executive, Foss Offshore Wind.
