TVW Sponsorship Guiding Principles
At TVW, editorial independence is the cornerstone of our commitment to the public. We provide unedited coverage of state government proceedings and produce enriching and enlightening programs that serve the needs of our viewers, free from any external influence. This unwavering commitment to impartiality ensures the highest quality content and builds unwavering trust with our audience.
Sponsorships are an important part of our self-sufficiency, but sponsor messages must never compromise our integrity or commitment to impartiality.
Content Neutrality
- Sponsor messaging should focus solely on introducing the sponsor, their work, and the communities they serve.
- Explicit product or service promotion is strictly prohibited.
- Sponsors must avoid messaging advocates for specific policies or sways viewers through calls to action.
- Testimonials, comparisons, and superlatives have no place in sponsorship statements as they can introduce subjectivity.
- Mentions of prices, discounts, or promotions are also inappropriate, as our focus is on public service, not commercial gain.
