Noble v Wolford. Noble appeals the court’s ruling that the quit claim deed he executed with his employer for two parcels of land he inherited from his parents was a purchase and sale agreement rather than an equitable mortgage. Noble asserts that the conveyance was not valid because there was no consideration for the transfer, the deed did not satisfy the statute of frauds, and it was unconscionable.
