The Washington State Department of Commerce holds a press conference in Olympia to announce recipients for $85 million in grants to fund the installation of 4,981 electric vehicle chargers at 565 sites throughout Washington state.
Speakers include Governor Jay Inslee, Commerce Director Mike Fong, and state legislators. Commerce selected locations and projects that will give more people easier access to chargers with a focus on multi-family housing and public spaces such as libraries, parks and recreation centers.
