Tulalip Tribes Bill Signing Commemoration

The Tulalip Tribes host a ceremony commemorating the signing of House Bill 1725, creating the nation’s first alert system specifically for Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and People (MMIWP) in the U.S. Participants including Attorney General Bob Ferguson, Rep. Debra Lekanoff, Sen. Manka Dhingra, National Congress of American Indians President Fawn Sharp, Assembly of First Nations National Chief RoseAnne Archibald, leaders from the state’s 29 tribal councils and members of the MMIWP task force.
