Senate Resolution 8683 – Seattle Seahawks – The Washington State Senate formally recognized the Seattle Seahawks for their historic 2025 season, finishing 14–3, winning the NFC West, and capturing their second Super Bowl title. Senators also acknowledged the team’s community service and fanbase, the “12s.”

House Bill 2165 – Peace Officer False Identification – The House passed a bill criminalizing the act of falsely identifying as a law enforcement officer. Sponsored by Edwin Obras, the measure makes it a gross misdemeanor to display or possess badges, insignia, or vehicles to misrepresent oneself as a peace officer, with penalties up to 364 days in jail or a $5,000 fine. Opponents, including Jenny Graham, raised concerns about conflicts with federal law enforcement. The bill passed 56–38 and moves to the Senate.

House Bill 2155 – AI and Nursing Titles – Lawmakers debated a bill preventing nonhuman entities, including A.I., from using professional nursing titles such as Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner. Supporters emphasized patient safety and accountability, while critics like Joe Schmick argued the scope is too narrow. Co-sponsor Sam Low called it a step toward protecting healthcare integrity. The bill passed the House 87–8 and now heads to the Senate.
