The Senate Law and Justice Committee hears a bill that would follow up on a bill approved in 2021 to create a new Office of Independent Investigations of police deadly force incidents, with creation of a new Office of Independent Prosecutions that would prosecute such cases.
The Senate Early Learning and K-12 Education Committee hears a bill that would limit and/or phase out the use of isolation and restraint on public school students.
