Gov. Bob Ferguson holds a press conference in Spokane to provide an update on the state’s work to submit a request for a federal Major Disaster Declaration regarding wildfires in Eastern Washington. The federal government previously granted an emergency declaration.
Ferguson is joined by Lt. Gov. Denny Heck, Congressman Michael Baumgartner, Spokane Tribe of Indians Secretary Monica Tonasket, Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown, and impacted homeowners and local representatives.
