M.A., et al v. Kiwanis International, et al.
- Appellants are among the former residents in Kiwanis Vocational Homes for Youth (KVH) who brought many separate lawsuits alleging sexual and other abuse against individual defendants, KVH, and Kiwanis corporate entities. Appellants entered into a covenant judgment settlement with the KVH former executive director and former assistant director. The trial court conducted a reasonableness hearing in which the Kiwanis corporate entities and insurers participated. The court concluded the settlement amounts to be unreasonable, and, per the settlement agreement, determined an amount that was reasonable.
