Egor Buzuev v. Fishermen’s Finest Holdings, LLC
Egor Buzuev was injured when he slipped and fell while working aboard a vessel that belonged to Fishermen Finest Holdings (FFH). Buzuev sued FFH for vessel unseaworthiness and violations of the Jones Act. A jury found FFH negligent but found that FFH negligence was not the proximate cause of Buzuev’s injuries. On appeal, Buzuev argues cumulative error occurred during trial that warrant reversal of the jury’s verdict, including but not limited to, evidentiary rulings about FFH’s subsequent remedial measures and witness misconduct.
