Division 1 Court of Appeals

Rover Stay Over, Inc. v. Whatcom County

  • Rover sued Whatcom County for negligence and tortious interference when the County informed the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs, and Boarder Protection that stated both Rover and R&R – two of the three companies competing for a contract for kenneling services – had complied with the permitting and zoning laws when in fact R&R had not done so. CBP awarded the contract to R&R. Whatcom County then moved for summary judgment dismissal of all claims, which was granted. Rover appeals. COA #879049  Snohomish County Superior Court # 22-2-07221-31.
