Zimmerman v. King County et al.
- In March 2021, Michelle Zimmerman received a Covid-19 vaccine from the Department of Public Health – Seattle & King County (DPH). Zimmerman asserts that the vaccine caused her injuries that have left her permanently disabled and that she would not have consented to the vaccine had DPH complied with certain public health guidance, including making certain disclosures. The trial court granted King County’s motion to dismiss asserting immunity under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act and dismissed the City of Seattle as an improper party.
