March 26 Edition – Water in Washington
Take a look back at TVW’s Fall 2017 Inside Olympia series on “Water in Washington”. The series includes policy overview and hear perspectives from Ag, business, tribal, environmental, municipal, utilities and state agencies.
Week 1 — Water policy overview. Guests: former WA Ecology Director and Gov. Gregoire Chief of Staff Jay Manning, and former Deputy WA Ag Dept. Director Mike Schwisow.
Week 2 — Ag and business perspectives. Guests: Kittitas Irrigation District Manager Urban Eberhart, and Kathleen Collins, executive director of the WA Water Policy Alliance.
Week 3 — Tribal and environmental perspectives. Guests: Swinomish Tribal Community Chair Brian Cladoosby, and Rob Masonis, VP for Western Conservation for Trout Unlimited. .
Week 4 — Municipal and utility perspectives. Guests: George Caan of the Washington Public Utilities District Association and Chuck Clarke of the Cascade Water Alliance.
Week 5 — State agency perspectives. Guests: WA Dept. of Ecology Director Maia Bellon, plus WA Dept. of Agriculture Director Derek Sandison who played a key role in the Columbia River Treaty and Yakima River Basin water plan.
