On “The Impact”:
The natural forces that shaped Washington’s beautiful landscape also pose a threat to the people who live here. The increasing intensity of wildfires and floods pose significant risks to lives and property. The state launched a new public-private partnership to address and prepare for the risks from various natural disasters. Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler, Chair of the Washington Disaster Resiliency Work Group, joins us to talk about the purpose of the group and its goals for improving disaster resilience.

Other topics: world’s largest mobile earthquake simulator; funding diverted from nuclear submarine base; and more.
