The Schmidt family was hugely responsible for growing Tumwater and Olympia into the cities they are today. They founded and owned the Olympia Brewing Company for three generations and employed thousands of locals to work at the brewery. In this “My Favorite Places”, Ralph Munro visits the historic Schmidt House, now owned by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation, and interviews a longtime Schmidt Family employee.
