State of Washington v. John T. Davis

 

Davis appeals from his conviction for murder in the second degree and asserts constitutional error regarding certain pretrial and other evidentiary rulings by the trial court. COA #854097. King County Superior Court 18-1-06714-2 SEA.

 

State of Washington v. Solomon Blue Tucker

 

Tucker appeals his convictions for theft of a motor vehicle and vehicle prowling. COA# 879511. Pierce County# 23-1-03634-6.

 

Craig Williams, v. Peacehealth

 

Todd Williams consumed an unknown quantity of prescription drugs and was admitted to PeaceHealth emergency department. After monitoring Williams, Dr. Manzo decided he could not detain Williams under the ITA, and he discharged him. Williams was later hit and killed by a car. Williams’s estate brought claims for negligence against, among others, Dr. Manzo. Dr. Manzo moved for summary judgment, which the superior court granted. Williams’s estate appeals, arguing that the court erred by improperly weighing expert witness credibility, not finding a genuine issue of material fact, and in its application of the gross negligence standard. COA # 877020. Snohomish County Superior Court # 21-2-01155-31.

 

Law Office of B. Craig Gourley, PLLC., v. David P. Marosi & Cheryl A. Ford, Et Al.            

 

David Marosi and Cheryl Ford appeal from a summary judgment ruling and an award of attorney fees in favor of the Law Office of Craig Gourley in a breach of contract action. COA # 874691. Snohomish County # 23-2-01550-31.

 

Meliha Jusupovic v. Integon Preferred Insurance             

 

Integon brought breach of contract and bad faith claims against cross defendant Nationwide. The superior court dismissed Integon’s claims, concluding the contract between Nationwide and National General Management Corporation, Integon’s parent company, did not define “client” as subsidiaries of National General Management Corp. On appeal, Integon argues the superior court did not properly consider extrinsic evidence. COA # 879901. King County Superior Court # 19-2-00208-5 SEA.
