State of Washington v. Joseph Forest Sims
- Sims was convicted of burglary, kidnapping, rape, assault, drive-by shooting, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Sims claims the court erred by admitting his statements to police in violation of the Fifth Amendment. Sims also claims the court deprived him of his right to counsel by granting his motion to represent himself when the request was not unequivocal.
